PLC Programmer for DESMI Ocean Guard A/S

Are you the PLC Programmer who can program yourself and others out of a tough situation? Do you want to use and share your technical knowledge to develop and offer the most value-adding solutions for our customers at all times? Do you want to make a difference in terms of environmental protection of the oceans? We are experiencing significant growth and we therefore want to expand our technical department with an ambitious and enthusiastic PLC Programmer who can develop PLC solutions as well as electrical documentation for the production and installation of our ballast water management systems onboard ships.

DESMI Ocean Guard A/S is one of the world's leading suppliers of ballast water management systems (BWMS) which prevent the spread of invasive species in the world's oceans. We manage the tasks from sale to delivery and use subcontractors to manufacture, install, commission and service the plants.
 
Become part of an ambitious and committed organisation
You are responsible for ensuring that the customer is given the best solution that matches his requirements in a simple manner. The PLC Programmer takes part in the entire process from technical clarification and possible ship inspection, to support to our project managers when the order is in house, to system delivery and commissioning on the ship. As a PLC Programmer you will have a broad interface, internally with our Project Managers, and externally to our Customers and suppliers.

In Short, your tasks will be:
• Programming of customised PLC programs for the installation and integration of our systems onboard ships. We work in the Siemens TIA Portal and/or Omron PLC, Siemens HMI (WinCC comfort or Advanced). You are expected to master this, and we prefer you are familiar with ships, their main components and systems.
• Preparation and review of electrical documentation of our products for use in production and installation.
• Retrofit projects with customers that can include ship inspections, drawing preparation and documentation of BWMS installations.

You may expect travel activity in the job, mainly in connection with ship inspections and installations of our systems worldwide.

Your Profile:
Most important is that you have a playful approach to new technologies and a vast interest in programming devices to see equipment come together. 

You have a technical background, such as a PLC programmer or automation specialist. Solid knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal and/or Omron PLC, Siemens HMI (WinCC comfort or Advanced) and Industry 4.0 is important. Since, as mentioned, you will have interface internally and externally, it is essential that you have a commercial mindset, is a skilled communicator and has a practical approach to all tasks. Experience from the maritime industry is an advantage, but responsibility, positive energy and development potential are weighted at least as high.
