Team Manager, Spare parts for Marine & Offshore

To secure a high service level and ensure the future growth, we are looking for an ambitious and detailed Team Manager that can identify and develop a high performing team in accordance with our spare part sales strategy. This position will focus on developing the organisation ensuring an effective sales performance on each of our DESMI offices, agents and distributors.

As our new Team Manager, you will be responsible for organise and develop a high performing sales teams strategically positioned around the globe. You will be responsible for spare parts sales and meet our customers on various levels for creating the optimal opportunity for further expansion and development of the spare part sales with huge growth potential.

As Team Manager you will have overall responsibility for our spare part sales organisation on a world-wide scale.

Key responsibility areas:

• Drive Spare part Sales strategy.
• Forecast and budget responsible.
• Credit assurances are in accordance with policies.
• Customer development plans and actions for increased sales.
• Plan for product offering incl. new product development.
• Collaborate with Marine & Offshore organisation to identify plans and actions to grow the spare part sales.
• Implement training programs for increasing sales and service offerings.  
• Employer competence development.
• Preparation of quotes for spares and pumps.
• Participating in exhibitions and fairs.
• Agent and distributor strategy, measurement and evaluation of performances. 

You will be part of the Marine & Offshore organisation, which is located at our office in Nørresundby, Denmark. In addition you will have close collaboration with DESMI sales personnel. You should expect world-wide travel activity, around 50-60 days per year.

Our office in Nørresundby is located at DESMI’s global headquarter with more than 200 employees and own production and warehouse facilities and you will become part of a large international company with more than 185 years history and around 900 employees worldwide.

Team Manager in the marine segment
Maybe you have a proven track record with successful involvement in sales activities in the marine segment – but could also be from other lines of businesses. Furthermore, you may have experience with meeting customers on various organisational levels, managing sales activities, including experience with managing in-direct sales through a network of sales representatives, agents and distributors. Preferably, you have a background with good technical understanding of ships and equipment on-board ships. You have good communication skills and you are fluent in written and spoken English.
