Automation Engineer
DESMI is involved in several markets that are experiencing growth such as energy reduction and Aqua Culture. We have a goal of not only supplying single components, but further increasing our portfolio of system-solutions both on- and offshore and help supplying some of the needed solutions to allow for instance the shipping industry to reach the international regulations of CO2 emission reductions. In recent years, we have had great success with our products for treating ballast water which means that DESMI today are among the market leaders in this business. In DESMI, we see Automation as a key function in achieving these goals and have therefore recently added additional focus and resources to this area. The goal is that the Global DESMI Automation team, together with the mechanical R&D team, develops sustainable, standardized, and cost-effective products. We are therefore looking for candidates which covers one, preferably more, but not necessarily all of the below points: - Education as Automation technician, Marine engineer, industrial electrician, Electrical or Automation Engineer.
- Structured, cooperative and positive.
- Experience from similar position/industries with design, development and documentation of automation solutions with PLC’s.
- Experience with Siemens products such as PLC, HMI, TIA-Portal etc.
- Experience with Danfoss frequency drives.
- Knowledge of the marine and offshore industry.
- Capable of creating electrical documentation in SE Electric.
The job requires you to be physically present in the office in Nørresundby, Denmark. However, after the completed trial-period, there will be a possibility to work partly from home. As an increasing number of projects are related to the defense industry a standard security clearance will be necessary and this will be applied for shortly after contract signing.
