Project Assistant for DESMI Ocean Guard A/S

For our project department, where we make an environmental difference for the world’s oceans, we are looking for a Project Assistant, to support and service our Project Managers, for a newly created role in DESMI Ocean Guard A/S at our office in Nørresundby, Denmark.

DESMI Ocean Guard A/S is one of the world's leading developers and manufacturers of ballast water management systems (BWMS) which combat the spread of invasive species in the world's oceans. We manage the tasks from sale to delivery and use subcontractors to manufacture, install, commission and service our products.

 Manage support and services from start to finish
As this role is newly created, there will to some extent be an opportunity to have influence on own tasks and areas of responsibility. With a wide interface, you will need to support and service a team of six(6) Project Managers.

The Project Manager is the key person in the whole process in relation to the technical clarification, project management, putting into service and handing over to the customer at the ship. Therefore, your support and service will be a very valued asset to their performance.

In short, your responsibilities are:

• Invoicing of pre-payments, commissioning etc. in close cooperation with the project managers
• Follow-up on payments, including reminder of non-payments, and creating overview for the project managers
• Archiving of projects documents
• Create an overview of projects in the department
• Act as a support for the project managers
• Various ad hoc administrative tasks

We imagine you come from an administrative or coordinating role where you have been familiar to embracing wide-ranging responsibilities. You can commit yourself widely among the players of the organization, and you always manage to keep balls in air both on your own behalf and on behalf of others.
You are flexible, and ready to help create your own role, where the task palette is versatile, and you help to facilitate the work process in the team. Maybe you also have experience or knowledge with invoicing - that will be an advantage. You will get to work with and in ERP systems, so a general technical know-how will be preferable. You are also proactive, independent, and extremely service-minded, which is why the project managers always know you know the answer.
