Automation engineer for DESMI Ocean Guard A/S – Automation team
As part of our continuous growth, we are now hiring staff to our technical department and are expanding our Automations team with an Automation engineer. You will join a professional team with ambitious goals and become a part of a global organisation working with proven technology.

Committed to the goal of preventing the spread of invasive species in the world's oceans, DESMI Ocean Guard A/S offers ballast water management systems (BWMS), which enables vessels to effectively treat their ballast water before discharge. DESMI Ocean Guard A/S gains continuously market share and is one of the world's leading developers and manufacturers of BWMS’s.
Responsibilities:
• Develop automation solutions based on CompactClean.
• Implementation of automation projects.
• Design and construction as well as calculation of marine controls
• Preparation of documentation in SEE Electrical.
• Participate in the training of service Engineer.
• Technical support to customers and DESMI service engineers under commissioning of the BWMS
• Maintaining and improving technical support documentation such as: troubleshooting and operational procedures.
You should expect up to 30 travel days/year, in relation to inspections and support of our products worldwide.
The positions are based at our main office in Nørresundby, Denmark.
Qualifications:
• El technical background such as Electrical engineer, Automation engineer, Marine engineer with flair for automation
• Able to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
• Skilled communicator in written and spoken English.
• Maritime and BWMS projects experience is an advantage.
• Responsible, persistent, positive, accurate and organized.
• Experience with electrical drawings and components is expected.
• The ability to gain knowledge and master new technology independently.
