If that leads to a lot of checkmarks, you are probably the person we are looking for in Internal Sales Support.

As a Sales Engineer you will be:

  • The product specialist guiding our customers and frontline Sales Managers towards the right solution.
  • A service-minded liaison, assisting Sales Managers in reaching the right internal resources and getting the right attention.
  • Creating system proposals and supporting documents
  • The link to the Project Department, finalizing the project handover details and conducting project handover meetings.
  • Answering customer questions and sharing knowledge with the Sales Managers ensuring they are up to speed on new products and procedures.
  • Validating new customers in our CRM system.
  • Assisting in maintaining marketing material and sales tools.

The company and team
DESMI Ocean Guard A/S is one of the world’s leading developers and suppliers of Ballast Water Management Systems (BWMS) used on-board ships worldwide to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. We are in charge of our projects from initial sales to commissioning of installed systems, and use subcontractors for manufacturing, installation and service.

You will be part of the Sales department, which is located at our office in Nørresundby, Denmark. DESMI Ocean Guard is employing around 40 people and is a small subsidiary to the DESMI Group. We are an ambitious company with busy years ahead of us.

Internal Sales Support is a small team consisting of three Sales Engineers, each responsible for their own region/market, working closely together with the Regional Sales Managers. Together with these colleagues you will service the sales organization across the globe and assist your team when the regional workload becomes uneven. Your task list will partly of consist routine proposals and handover documentation, but you will also be exposed to more challenging assignments.

Your background
It is an advantage to hold a technical degree from the maritime world. However, the willingness to enter new territory and learn about the DESMI Ocean Guards sales process, vessel types, ballast water and the treatment hereof is the most important factor.

You are fluent in written and spoken English, and Excel and the rest of the Office package is a natural working environment for you. You should expect visiting DESMI Offices, customers and colleagues around the world leading to approximately 15-30 days travel days per year.

As a Sales Engineer you will operate independently in a busy environment. We will therefore notice how you describe yourself in regards to:
