Application Manager – ROTAN Internal Gear Pumps, Industry & utility DESMI is offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive and innovative Application Manager to contribute to the advancement of DESMI's presence in high-viscosity industries, including fuels, oils, additives, asphalt, bitumen, and related sectors. This role will encompass both commercial and technical dimensions. Join Our Journey As an Application Manager, your primary responsibility will involve enhancing DESMI’s business in our key industrial sectors, with an initial emphasis on pump applications for fuels & oils, Asphalt & Bitumen, and chemical related sectors. Collaborating closely with international teams, you will drive specific core activities and support business development initiatives in selected markets and industries. Your Responsibilities at DESMI will include: Application Management - Develop a transparent application roadmap targeting key sub-industries.
- Lead the launch of prioritized applications through our sales channels.
- Act as the product application expert and primary point of contact.
- Conduct product and application training for relevant colleagues.
- Assist in creating marketing materials and training sales teams.
- Provide input to R&D for product and application enhancements.
Support to Sales - Offer application-specific expertise and conduct on-site customer consultations.
- Accompany sales teams on visits to selected customers.
- Provide technical assistance for specific configurations and applications.
Business Development - Analyze current sales patterns to identify and pursue new markets.
- Implement a systematic market approach in collaboration with sales.
- Stay updated on market trends and contribute to internal systems.
About Your Role You will be part of the Industry & Utility team based at DESMI's headquarters in Nørresundby, Denmark, with extensive collaboration with DESMI sales personnel worldwide. Reporting to the Head of Industry & Utility, you can anticipate approximately 25-50 days of travel per year. Our Nørresundby office hosts DESMI's global headquarters, comprising over 200 employees and featuring production and warehouse facilities. Requirements - Background in technical engineering or equivalent, or a commercial background with technical proficiency.
- Experience and knowledge within oil, chemical and general industries are advantageous.
- Familiarity with pumps and pump systems is desirable.
