DESMI is on an ambitious growth journey and at the same time the HR organization is transforming into an even more business and value-adding function – which is why we are looking for a professional and skilled team-player in the HR operations team. 

The job
You will be the focal point of our HR foundation, working with all our main HR processes and systems used to deliver timely support and solutions for a wide range of HR tasks. You will be employed in DESMI's HR team at the headquarters in Nørresundby, however you will have the flexibility to work remotely two days a week. 

You will be the main HR support go-to function in our Group HR team, which provides for interaction with colleagues across the entire organization, however, currently primarily focusing on our Danish companies. As part of the frontline of HR, it is therefore key that you handle the activities and tasks efficiently and always with a smile in everything you do. 

Your primary tasks will include:

  • Manage hire-to-retire operational HR support
  • Perform general HR administration and handling incoming requests in person, by phone or through our shared HR mailbox
  • Issuing contracts, addendums, and other legal documents
  • Hugh amount of recruitment Support (Posting job adverts, arranging interviews and tests etc.)
  • Support and advise HR colleagues in relation to legal advisory – hire-to-retire - and on organizational changes and employee data
  • Onboarding support (incl. onboarding information and master data entries)
  • Contributing to securing that templates, processes, and policy documents (including employee handbook) are kept up to date or developed. This includes ensuring an even more efficient HR operational setup – identifying and executing ways, methods and processes that makes HR in DESMI, and thus the business, more professional and efficient.
  • HR super-user on selected systems, employment law, GDPR, A1 or support for committees and elections.
  • Ensuring high HR master data quality.
  • Co-responsible for Compensation & Benefit related projects and tasks, together with HR global colleagues. This includes Mercer IPE implementation, Salary regulation, handling of mobility cases, processes and governance, etc.

You bring positive energy and passion to our team and the organization, and you work with a high degree of integrity and professionalism. Due to the complexity and versatility of your daily tasks, an agile mindset and a ‘can do attitude’ will serve as basis for entering unchartered territory and new types of assignments, which will also be an integral part of further developing your skillset. You also have a knack for being organized and keeping track of details, however never letting go of your customer-oriented approach and understanding for pragmatic problem solving – we need to make HR easy, also when it is complex. Finally, you are self-driven and motivated by being part of a dedicated dynamic team where changes, deadlines, pace, priorities, an informal tone and developing activities are a part of our everyday life.

Professional capabilities

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably from a similar international HR role, in a production mid-size company – meaning you know “what good looks like” when it comes to ensuring robust HR operations and service delivery striving for the highest level of HR Operational efficiency, professionalism and services
  • You have a master’s degree – preferably in the legal area, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a Graduate diploma (HD) in Organization and Management
  • Broad knowledge of HR operations – especially on legal HR advisory; including basic Danish employment law. You have experience with the collective agreements under the Confederation of Danish Industries (Industriens Overenskomst).
  • Experience from being a super-user in selected HR admin. systems, employment law, GDPR, or support for committees and elections.
  •  Preferably Mercer IPE certification and Employment Law certification/courses
  • Solid IT competencies, especially Excel and analytics tools, incl. PP presentations on a high level
  • Business understanding and strong interest in ensuring value-adding, business-oriented HR support
  • International experience, cultural experience, and English at an above average level
