As our new Sales Engineer - Automation, you will join a highly motivated automation sales team and collaborate with an established network of local offices identifying opportunities to grow the customer base and build positive relationships with new customers. To thrive and succeed as our Technical Sales Engineer – Automation, you probably have automation, control technology, electrical engineering or equivalent technical education, proficient knowledge of automation systems in marine industry. Preferably you sailed as marine engineer or worked in a shipyard environment in electrical projects, and you likely have complex technical project sales experience with flair for customer facing activities in Denmark and abroad and ability to understand customer needs. You have the ability to understand and analyze technical documentation (such as P&ID, electrical diagrams). Personally, you are curious, commercially driven, team worker, accept changes, technical problem solver with entrepreneurial approach. Finally, you are proficient in English with ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences. Technical Sales Engineer – Automation Responsibilities: - Drive the sales process from lead to order of automation solutions directly with customers and in collaboration with our sales offices.
- Sales pipe-line management, opportunity follow up.
- Support all stages of the sales process, technically and commercially including Technical quotation generation and technical clarification.
- Close coordination and training across the organization and interact with customers to promote our offerings, generate leads for growing the business to its full market potential.
- Be motivated by new challenges for developing new sales and new automation/digital product offerings and services according to customer needs and market developments.
- Finally, you will record and update sales and activities in our CRM system (Sales Force) and proactively drive business through customer relations, exhibition, and events.
You will be reporting to DESMI Pumping Technology A/S in Aalborg – Denmark but become a part of an international organization. This position entails global travel as dictated by customer demands, ensuring a harmonious balance between meeting international objectives, and maintaining personal work equilibrium.
