Project Manager for DESMI Ocean Guard A/S

We are expanding our technical department with an ambitious and proactive Project Manager, who will take charge of the entire project management process from the technical clarification to the commissioning of our ballast water management systems, in close cooperation with our sales team and suppliers.

DESMI Ocean Guard A/S is one of the world's leading manufacturers of ballast water management systems (BWMS) which combat the spread of invasive species in the world's oceans. We manage the tasks from sales to delivery and use subcontractors to manufacture, install, commission and service our products.
Manage our projects from start to finish
You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the most cost-efficient solutions matching the customers’ requirements. The Project Manager is the key person in the coordination of entire process in relation to the technical clarification, project management and supporting the customer until handover at the ship. As Project Manager you will therefore have a wide interface, internally with our sales and technical team, and externally with our customers and suppliers.
In short, your responsibilities are: - Primary costumer contact and management of customer projects from the technical clarification to commissioning of systems.
- Ensuring that documentation and traceability is available to the customer.
- Make sure our finished products are aligned with our specifications and customer requirements.
You should expect travel up to 20 days/year, in sales related inspections and customer visits worldwide.
Specialist that can build strong relationships internally and externally
You have a technical background, for example, as Marine Engineer, Mechanical engineer, etc. Since you will have a large interface, it is essential that you have a commercial mindset, is a skilled communicator and have a practical approach to all tasks. Experience is of course an advantage, but responsibility, positive energy and development potential are weighed just as high. Experience from the maritime industry is an advantage.
